Advanced Practice Massage Therapy

Alex completed his Masters in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto. Prior to this, he obtained his Honors Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology degree at Western University. Alex is a huge sports fan and has pursued educational courses to further his clinical knowledge including American Sports Medicine Institute (ASMI) for baseball throwing injuries and Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) for golf performance. Additionally, Alex has taken courses in Contemporary Medical Acupuncture and manual therapy.

Alex believes in a multimodal treatment approach with joint mobilizations, soft tissue release, client education, and targeted exercises.

Outside of the clinic, Alex remains active through weightlifting, running half marathons, and dragonboating competitively. Alex loves to spend time outdoors whether he is camping in Algonquin or just walking his dog down by Lakeshore.

Dan completed his diploma in Fitness and Lifestyle Management at George Brown College, followed by a degree in Athletic Therapy at Sheridan College. He then went on to complete another diploma in Massage Therapy at the Ontario College of Health and Technology.

Dan has a wide range of experience including working with varsity sports teams, weekend warriors and the general population. He has extensive knowledge of both acute and chronic injuries, and has a passion for helping people get back to feeling their best again.

Dan’s client-centred approach involves working through personalized goals and investigating the root cause of dysfunction and pain. His treatment techniques can vary from relaxation to deep tissue and consist of a variety of joint play mobilizations, myofascial release, trigger point release, therapeutic exercise and stretches to achieve the best possible outcomes.

When Dan is not in the clinic, he is spending time with friends and family, traveling, or playing volleyball.

Wayne received his Bachelor of Occupational Therapy from the University of Queensland, Australia and his Masters of Science (Physiotherapy) at McMaster University, Canada.

Wayne has worked in various clinical settings from acute inpatient care to private practice both as an Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist. This experience has allowed him to work with a diverse group of patients and influences his holistic approach to healthcare.

He has completed post-graduate work with the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute (AFCI) and Active Release Technique® – and has received his STOTT PILATES® Certification and Level 1 Manual Therapy with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association Orthopedic Division. Wayne is currently enrolled in the McMaster Contemporary Medical Acupuncture Program and McKenzie Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy Program.

In addition to his clinical work, Wayne is one of a select group of Lead Instructor Trainers for STOTT PILATES®. As Lead Instructor Trainer, Wayne continues to assist with the development and implementation of elite training and certification programs for Pilates instructors around the globe. He is also a presenter at numerous health and fitness conferences and provides STOTT PILATES® teacher training in mat and equipment-based Pilates for both fitness and clinical/rehabilitation certifications domestically and internationally.

Danielle Tsirulnikov started her physiotherapy career with an undergraduate degree in Health Science at McMaster University. She later graduated from the University of Toronto with a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy. Danielle had the privilege of being the first author of two research papers, both of which are expected to publish sometime this year. During her schooling, Danielle was involved with several clubs including Out in Rehab and Justice Rehab. She has an appreciation for life-long learning, and has strong interests in orthopaedics, concussion and vestibular health, and acupuncture.

Danielle’s passion for rehabilitation and physical therapy commenced from her own experiences with several sports injuries, concussions, and a car accident. As someone who has been active all her life from gymnastics to Taekwondo to swimming, she understands the positive impacts and importance of exercising, both for physical and mental health. Her experiences with powerlifting especially helped shape her love for rehabilitation and exercising and she cannot wait to help each of her clients stay active and return to their sports. Danielle continues to powerlift in her spare time, and loves to read, travel, and hike.

Danielle will work with you to provide the best care personalized for you. She understands that each client is different, and will cater her treatment to get you back to your everyday activities and sports. Dr. Frank Xue earned his Doctor of Chiropractic from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College following an honours of Bachelors of Arts in Kinesiology from Western University. In addition to his chiropractic education, Dr. Frank is trained in Contemporary Medical Acupuncture, Complete Concussion Management and Lower extremity Athletic Movement Assessment.

Dr. Frank is an evidence based practitioner who prioritizes patient centered care and incorporates spinal manipulative therapy, acupuncture, soft tissue therapy and rehabilitation exercises to help his patients recover from injury, move and feel better. Dr. Frank enjoys working with people of all ages and backgrounds to figure out an individualized approach.
