Michelle graduated with a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto in 2020. Prior to this, she obtained a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology with a specialization in Rehabilitation Sciences from the University of Waterloo. Empathy and warmth are at the centre of Michelle’s approach to treatment. She understands that physiotherapy is not always an easy journey, and so she emphasizes a collaborative and individualized approach to patient care. She utilizes a variety of treatment strategies including education, exercise prescription and manual therapy to assist patients recover from injury and accomplish their goals. Michelle also places a strong emphasis on health promotion and injury prevention to enhance her patients’ overall well-being. Michelle has completed the level two Advanced Integrative Musculoskeletal program from the OPA Orthopaedic division. She also has a keen interest in pelvic health and plans on pursuing courses in this area to expand her knowledge and further facilitate her patients’ recovery and return to an injury-free lifestyle. Manpreet graduated with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto.

Manpreet believes that manual therapy, patient education and individualized exercise programs result in successful patient outcomes. She provides treatments for orthopedic injuries and has specialized training in dry needling, k-taping and pelvic health physiotherapy.

She uses her passion of exercise and strength training to assist patients to optimize their own training programs. Her goal is to work with patients to reduce pain, resume normal function and prevent future injuries.

Devon holds a Master’s Degree in Health Science and Kinesiology from York University. Prior to this, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree, specialized honours in Health Science and Kinesiology. Due to his foundational and complementary background in health sciences, he was admitted into the advanced standing program for health professionals at Sutherland-Chan school of massage which is arguably considered one of the best massage schools in North America.

In addition, Devon has expanded his knowledge base through direct mentorship and several education courses which has allowed him to elevate his skillset which is grounded in a treatment focused approach. He has a special interest and vast experience working with active individuals and those with neck, shoulder and lower back issues. Devon also has a long-standing academic background in exercise science, which he integrates into his massage practice to support and solidify his treatment outcomes. Ushwin completed his Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto after earning an Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at McMaster University.

His journey into physiotherapy began during his undergraduate studies when a misdiagnosed sports injury and an ACL tear ignited his passion for the field. He understands firsthand how it felt to be a patient, which has fueled his empathy and determination to help others overcome similar challenges. He aims to deliver compassionate care and employ a comprehensive approach that integrates education, exercise, and manual therapy to enhance functionality and reduce the risk of injury, allowing individuals to re-engage in activities meaningful to them.

Beyond clinical work, Ushwin has spent the past two years as an Orangetheory Coach, developing his ability to address biomechanical imbalances and provide alternatives to make fitness accessible to all. Additionally, he honed his skills in on-the-spot injury assessment and care with the McMaster Sports Medicine program where he worked with university level varsity athletes in football, tennis and soccer to provide therapy and delivered emergency sideline athletic therapy prior to games and practices.

Looking ahead, Ushwin is enthusiastic about advancing his education in acupuncture and vestibular health. He has already achieved Level 1 AIM certification through the orthopaedic division of the CPA and has plans to pursue additional levels of manual therapy in the coming years. Sarah Higgins is a Registered Chiropodist (foot specialist) and Pedorthist. Sarah attained a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (Hons) at York University and finished first in her class in Chiropody at the Michener Institute. Sarah is also a Registered Pedorthist with a deep understanding of orthotic and footwear fabrication. She is also trained in Manual Foot Therapy Technique which decreases joint stiffness restoring gait function and balance.

Sarah places special focus on biomechanical foot pathologies such as plantar fasciitis, bunions, and posterior tibial tendon dysfunction. She develops comprehensive evidence-based management solutions for each patient. In addition to private practice, Sarah works in partnership with UHN, Women’s College Hospital.

Sarah enjoys educating and mentoring future practitioners as a Clinical Educator and was recently invited to lecture at Western University on the topic of “Foot Structures and Classifications”. Education is a core focus of her patient engagement, and she offers webinars such as “Sore Feet on the Job: Prevention and Management”.

Prateek completed his Masters in Physiotherapy at the University of Toronto. Prior to this he obtained his Honours in Kinesiology degree at McMaster University.

His admiration of the physiotherapy profession began from being a patient while playing competitive ice hockey growing up and experiencing various musculoskeletal injuries. He enjoys practicing using a direct hands on treatment approach and an individualized exercise program to facilitate better movement and alleviate pain. He has also worked as a personal trainer in which he worked with all kinds of patients while emphasizing functional movements and motivating clients in exercise promotion. Whatever your issue, Prateek is sure to adapt to every client differently and cater to your unique needs. He is trained in medical acupuncture with electrical stimulation and has upgraded his manual therapy skills.

Nicholas completed his Master of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto, where he also completed his Bachelor of Kinesiology. During his 6 years at the University of Toronto, Nicholas developed a strong proficiency in human anatomy, exercise physiology and biomechanics. He worked as a Research Assistant, contributing to groundbreaking projects regarding pressure injury management and modalities for combating ICU-acquired weakness. He also worked as a personal trainer, using advanced sport specific exercise prescription to help his clients become stronger and faster. He continues to employ these features of exercise prescription with clients of all ages and activity levels.

Nicholas’ treatment approach includes hands-on manual therapy, corrective postural exercises and patient education. These are essential components of his holistic treatment approach to help his patients achieve their personal goals of returning to sport, work or activity. Erica is a Registered Massage Therapist who graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy last century. With over two decades of experience in massage therapy Erica has taken the opportunity to work in a wide variety of settings which have allowed her to learn how to meet the treatment needs of all kinds of clients including infants, the elderly, mobility challenged, pregnant women, professional athletes and horses. Additional training includes specialties in elder-care, pre & post natal massage, infant massage, hot stone massage and equine massage.

Prior to entering the world of massage therapy, Erica served in the Canadian Armed Forces as an army medic. Maintaining an active lifestyle has always been an important part of Adam’s life. Seeing firsthand the benefits that daily movement has on both mental and physical well-being, Adam took that passion to further his knowledge in biomechanics and movement sciences, and ultimately decided to pursue physical therapy as a career.

Margarita is a Registered Massage Therapist, Certified Yoga Instruction and a Thai Massage Practitioner. She has over 9 years of experience as a Yoga Teacher and 5 years as a Thai Massage Practitioner. Margarita finished her Registered Massage Therapy program in August 2020, graduating with honours from Kikkawa College. Margarita pairs her educational experience and her background in movement to help patients move freely and relieve pain. In 2016 she received her Advanced Diploma in Manual and Manipulative Therapy through the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, and became a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (CAMPT). He attended Queen’s University where he studied Kinesiology while playing varsity volleyball. He then travelled to Dublin to obtain his Physiotherapy Degree from The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.

With extensive experience working in the clinical setting, Jamie utilizes a variety of treatment techniques to help support patients in achieving their goals. Through a comprehensive and functional assessment Jamie helps patients find the source of the problem and tailors their treatment plan accordingly, incorporating a combination of manual therapy, education and exercise-based programs.
