Advanced Practice Physiotherapy

Andrea graduated from McMaster University in Physical Education and Health then went on to graduate from the University Of Toronto in Physical Therapy. Throughout her career Andrea has focused on orthopaedics and sports, successfully completing her Part A’s and Level 5 in Manual Therapy in the Orthopaedic Division of the CPA.

She has continued to expand her knowledge and skills with other soft tissue and manual courses including McKenzie (A,B), Movement System Impairment Syndromes by Shirley Sahrmann, Acupuncture (Part A,B), Mulligan Concepts, Soft Tissue Release for a few. She is also embarking on Craniosacral Therapy having completed one course in Cranial Osteopathy by Fred Mitchell. Andrea has a strong interest in the diagnosis and treatment of the fascial system dysfunction having taken extensive courses in Myofascial Release in Arizona through John. F. Barnes. She plans further courses in this program focussing on Woman’s Issues.

As an avid athlete herself, she was on the varsity gymnastics team (McMaster) then upon graduating focused on Medical Representation with various teams and events (Gymnastic Club, Minor Hockey, Premier Soccer, Skate Canada, Summer Games).

Andrea presently continues to be active racing in the Ontario and Quebec Mountain Bike Series. She also runs, cross country skis, golfs and hikes.

Kayla comes from Timmins, a small town in Northern Ontario. She has been working as a Registered Massage Therapist since 2010 ranging in several specialties such as, prenatal, sports, headache/migraine treatments, trigger points and MVAs.

Her primary focus however is on deep tissue therapy. She has a wide range of clinical experience working within Chiropractic and Physiotherapist clinics, mixed martial arts academy, yoga studio, and in the mining industry.

Kayla has recently completed her holistic nutrition certification specializing in gut health, where she focuses on Digestive Issues, Immune Support, Dietary Needs, Supplementary Requirements and Overall Wellness.

Kalpesh completed his physiotherapy degree from India in 2011. He came in Montreal, Canada to do his Master’s degree at McGill University in 2012. After moving to Ottawa in 2015\16, he completed his licensing in Physiotherapy and is currently registered with the Ontario College of Physiotherapy.

Kalpesh has a keen interest in acute and chronic orthopedic and neuromuscular injuries. He is a certified acupuncture and dry needling service provider for spine, upper body and lower body. He has also completed his certification in concussion care as well as in vestibular physiotherapy. Kalpesh specializes in shockwave therapy, custom orthotics/custom bracing as well as physiotherapy for Vertigo.

Kalpesh has been practicing yoga since 2010 and has completed his certification in “Hath Yog” from India. He also enjoys playing cricket and badminton as well as cycling and hiking in his free time.

Milind has completed his physiotherapy degree from India. He migrated to Canada in 2019 and completed a diploma in Health, wellness and fitness course from Mohawk college, Hamilton.

After moving to Ottawa he completed his licensing in Physiotherapy. He is currently registered with Ontario college of physiotherapy. He has a keen interest in exercise based orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation. He has done ergonomic correction seminars in various corporate offices in India. He strongly believes that humankind should prevent posture-related pain with exercise programs and correcting posture. He has worked closely with the patients of paralysis and other neurological conditions and helped them to become independent and self-sufficient. He keeps his eyes on the latest research in rehabilitation in orthopedic conditions such as osteoarthritis. He has done a Muscle energy technique (MET) course for reeducating the muscles after chronic pain from back home.
