Tom grew up in the UK where he completed his BSc Physiotherapy degree at King’s College London, training in the major teaching hospitals of the capital. He has 8.5 years experience of professional physiotherapy practice in London, specialising in managing postural dysfunction and spinal pain; acute and chronic injuries; hypermobility; and orthopaedic surgical rehabilitation.
While working in the UK, Tom worked closely with consultant physicians and advanced practice physiotherapists in Sports Medicine at the London Olympic Park - the designated team for athletes at the 2012 London Olympics. Here he honed his exercise prescription skills and used shockwave therapy in a dedicated clinic. Tom completed an MSc module in Strength & Conditioning in 2022 at University of Hertfordshire which continues to inform his practice.
Tom also has a special interest in vestibular rehabilitation - a speciality concerned with dizziness, vertigo and associated balance impairments. He has had specialized training in managing patients with BPPV, vestibular neuritis and vestibular migraine and teaching to fellow colleagues.
Tom employs a comprehensive and holistic approach to assessment involving thorough history taking, hands-on assessment and functional movement screening techniques. Prior to his Physiotherapy degree he completed a Specialized Honours Kinesiology degree at York University in 2014.
