To book an appointment with a Sports Medicine Physician, Physiatrist or Orthopaedic Surgeon, please visit athletescare and call to book. For appointments covered by WSIB or MVA, please call the clinic directly to book the appointment.

The healthcare team at Athlete’s Care provide quality, patient-centered treatments. We require an Initial Assessment if this is your first time booking with us, if you would like to get a a new injury assessed and treated, or if you have not had an appointment within the past 6+ months.

What to bring to your appointment:

  • Bring shorts if the issue is your knees, back or legs.
  • Wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing as specific areas of the body are subject for evaluation and treatment.
  • Bring your referral or doctor’s note, if you have one.
  • If you plan on having insurance cover your treatments, bring your insurance information and we can look into whether direct billing for Physiotherapy, Massage Therapy or Chiropractic care is an option with your insurance provider.
  • Bring a valid OHIP card for appointments with a Sports Medicine Physician, Physiatrist or Orthopaedic Surgeon

We require 24 hours notice prior to cancelling or rescheduling your appointment.

Dylan completed his Masters in Physiotherapy overseas at Glasgow Caledonian University in the United Kingdom. He gained his Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and Health Sciences at York University. Dylan’s passion for physiotherapy stemmed from his lifelong training as a martial arts practitioner and assistant instructor at Northern Karate Schools. Here, he learned the importance of effective communication, knowledge in body mechanics and function, as well as awareness of a student’s physical impairments in teaching new skills, and applies these principals to his practice.

Dylan’s treatment approach centres around client education, soft tissue release, mobilizations and targeted exercises.

Dylan enjoys being physically active whether it be playing recreational sports with friends, going for walks, weightlifting, and of course training at the martial arts dojo.

Kevin earned his Master of Physical Therapy from Western University. Prior to that, he completed a Bachelor of Science with Specialized Honours in Kinesiology at York University. He was inspired to pursue a career in physiotherapy after experiencing his share of injuries while competing at the varsity level.

Kevin has had the opportunity to work with a diverse range of individuals, from pediatrics to geriatrics with a variety of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. He takes a holistic, client-centred approach to identify the root cause of symptoms and help clients return to the activities they enjoy.

In collaboration with his clients, he develops comprehensive, individualized treatment plans and utilizes techniques such as manual therapy, acupuncture, education, and therapeutic exercise to support them in achieving their goals.

Outside of the clinic, he enjoys trying new restaurants, playing spikeball with friends, and working out at the gym.

Joanaliza is a Registered Massage Therapist who is passionate about helping clients feel better. Her goal is to help the client return to doing what they enjoy best. Her approach is Movement-Assessment Base for which is considered functional driven by nature.

Joanaliza, a graduate of Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy, offers treatments that are tailored to each client’s needs. Her background in fitness and rehabilitation helps her understand movement patterns and recovery. She uses a combination of Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Techniques, Stretching, Swedish Massage, and Joint Mobilization.

Patrick attended Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy, graduated in 2021 as the valedictorian of his class, and now works there as a massage therapy instructor. He has a passion for education, and an intense drive to learn. He prides himself on staying up-to-date with the current developments in the massage therapy field.

Patrick has a long history in combat sports, and as such has experience as an injured athlete. As a former competitive Muay Thai athlete with over 20 bouts, he has used his nuanced knowledge of the sport to treat fighters from numerous martial arts schools around the GTA, helping to rehab their injuries and keep them ready to perform. In 2024, he became the Canadian National Muay Thai team’s RMT, travelling with them to the Panamerican Championship in Ottawa, and the Senior World Championship in Turkey.

Patrick is experienced working with athletes of all types and skill levels, including runners and swimmers, bringing a dynamic treatment style to the table that includes Swedish massage techniques, sports massage, cupping, and Western Medical Acupuncture.

Po-chien Tam is a Registered Massage Therapist with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Kinesiology from York University and a Massage Therapy Diploma from Bryan College.

His clinical training includes extensive experience in the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions, sports-related injuries, tension headaches, and chronic pain. Po-chien is skilled in Deep Tissue Therapy, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy and medical acupunture. With a strong interest in sports rehabilitation, He enjoys working closely with clients to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance overall movement quality. His goal is not only to treat symptoms, but to help clients stay active, resilient, and performing at their best.

Sydney completed her MSc Physiotherapy from the University of Essex after earning a Diploma in Pedorthics from Western University and a BSc in Exercise Physiology from University of Winnipeg. She has experience working in musculoskeletal rehabilitation settings across Canada and the UK, with interests in return-to-sport rehabilitation, lower limb biomechanics, and movement-based care. Her background in contemporary dance and teaching dance and acrobatics continues to influence her approach to rehabilitation and performance.

Sydney is passionate about helping people build confidence to return to the activities they love through collaborative, individualized care. She is committed to continuing education, with plans to further expand her training in clinical acupuncture and Pilates.
